Dampers control airflow entry, mixing, and exhaust in the AHU. CTAPRO supports 10 damper types and two mixing box configurations (standard 2-damper and combined 3-damper).

Standard Mixing Box (2 dampers)

Fresh Air Damper + Recirculation Damper. The recirculation damper has a different screen and different control logic than the fresh air damper.

Combined Mixing Box (3 dampers)

Exhaust Air Damper + Recirculation Damper + Fresh Air Damper. All three share the same advanced options but have independent control logic.

Configuration Workflow

  1. Select damper type โ†’ Configure basic options โ†’ Apply advanced options
  2. Set airflow โ†’ Choose orientation โ†’ Calculate
  3. Set dimensions โ†’ Enable manual โ†’ Set Lร—W โ†’ Set position
  4. Advanced mixing โ†’ Fine-tune X/Y โ†’ Calculate mixture โ†’ Confirm
๐Ÿ’ก Tip Damper velocity should be 3โ€“6 m/s for proper control. Below 3 m/s gives poor modulation; above 6 m/s creates noise.
